Mesh to BRep Missing in Fusion 360

Issue:

You would like to convert a mesh file to a BRep (solid body) in Fusion 360 and cannot find the "Mesh to BRep" option.

Solution:

Mesh to BRep is no longer a workflow. As of July 2021, you will now use "Convert Mesh" in the new Mesh tools. See our step-by-step tutorial on YouTube.

See the old workflow below:

Mesh to BRep is only available in Direct Modeling Mode.

1

To enter direct modeling mode, right-click on the Fusion 360 Browser > select "Do Not Capture Design History."

What is Direct Modeling?

Direct modeling mode empowers you to define and capture geometry quickly, without spending time worrying about features, constraints, and original design intent.
