What is Capture Position in Fusion 360?

You would like to know what Capture Position does in Fusion 360.

Solution:

Any time you move components around in Fusion 360 you will be asked if you'd like to "Capture Position."

Capture Position records the current position of all components in the design. It also adds a capture position feature in the parametric timeline.

Rolling back to the feature in the timeline will place the components in the pre-recorded position, which can be helpful for different workflows where you need to position components in a very specific manner while referencing others (particularly for sketches).

Note: Capture Position is resource-intensive and should be used sparingly. Use Joints to position components.
