Fusion 360 Component Appears in Wrong Spot
Issue:
The component is nested under the wrong component in the Fusion 360 Browser.
Solution:
New Components will always be placed underneath whichever component is currently active in the Browser - unless, you select the "parent" when creating the new component.
You'll see the following dialog when creating a new component.
Notice the Parent selector (circled in orange). This will default to the active component. However, select the "X" to clear the selected parent and select a new component in the Browser. This allows you to create a new component at the appropriate location, without the need to activate the parent component.
